Introduction to the Theory of Constructal Infonomics

The Theory of Constructal of Infonomics (TCI) unites the concept of life and shows that all three of the families of life, DNA, human societies and machines, are one, governed by the same physical laws of information and thermodynamics. The success of any life form is its ability to maximize the amount of energy it can direct to its own growth, evolution and reproduction.

For some 40 years of studying both physics and information, the connection between the two concepts has been intuitively obvious to me, but at the same time not provable as a working theory. With the discovery of the Constructal Law by Professor Adrian Bejan in 1996, the proof was at hand. In May, 2017 I presented a paper, The Constructal Theory of Infonomics at the Constructal Law Conference 2017 in Bucharest, Romania. The paper was subsequently selected for publication in the Proceedings of the Romanian Academy of Sciences. This e-book is a verbatim copy of the paper submitted to the conference. It is provided in this form for the convenience of those who wish to access it at low cost.
